allHis - because it is!

at the foot of the cross

One Worthy

Worthy, worthy, worthy
Is the resurrected Lamb

Glory, glory, glory
Is the wisdom of God’s plan

Holy, holy, holy
Is the eternally great I AM

Mercy, mercy, mercy
Is His wondrous gift to man

MT 2022

Rev 5:13  And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

Falling Short

There is a stairway to heaven
But no it cannot be bought
By the silver or gold of sinners
No matter how hard it is sought
For we all fall short of the glory of God
Each and all, the whole human lot
So God sent His Son to pay our sin debt
And help us to learn what He taught.

MT 2022

Rom 3:23  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Rom 3:24  being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Eagles Wings

Sometimes in order to teach us to fly,
God pushes us out of the nest,
And sometimes He stokes up the fire,
To put our faith to the test.

But one thing we can be sure of,
His methods and means are best,
And in the end, He will carry us home,
To a place of peace, joy and rest.

MT 2021

Isa 40:30  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,
Isa 40:31  But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Though

Though the mountains may erupt with flames,
And the north wind bitterly blow,
Though the rain may flood great rivers,
Or drought make them cease to flow,
One thing is certain and secure,
Jesus Christ is Lord of all,
Sovereign Ruler of heaven and earth,
Who hears when His children call.

MT 2022

Psa 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
Psa 46:2  Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Psa 46:3  Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

Who Is This?

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
On a cold, crisp winter morn,
The one foretold by a prophet,
Of a virgin would be born.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
Born the King of the Jews,
Whom shepherds came to worship,
And wise men paused to muse.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
Whom Simeon worshiped with joy,
Lifting his voice up loud and clear,
To praise Mary’s baby Boy.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
The One true Savior and Lord,
Born of David’s royal line,
By heaven and earth adored.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
Who deserves all honor and glory,
The author and finisher of our faith,
The perfection of God’s love story.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
Who has come to make all things new,
The sinless, blameless Lamb of God,
The Word of God faithful and true.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
To reconcile God and man,
Conqueror of sin and death,
Fulfilling God’s master plan.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
To usher in lasting shalom,
By crushing the serpent’s cursed head,
And leading His children home.

MT 2021

Mat 2:4  And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.  2:5  So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:  2:6  ‘BUT YOU, BETHLEHEM, IN THE LAND OF JUDAH, ARE NOT THE LEAST AMONG THE RULERS OF JUDAH; FOR OUT OF YOU SHALL COME A RULER WHO WILL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL.’ ”

Unbearable

Christ gives liberty to the captives,
Is a compass for the lost,
He is shelter from the fiercest storm,
When our lives are tempest-tossed,
For His mercy knows no boundaries,
And from heaven to earth His grace crossed,
To fulfill the glorious, ancient plan,
And to bear the unbearable cost.

MT 2021

Mat 27:46  And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?”

Luk 24:26  Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?”

Willingly

She wasn’t concerned with the gossip,
That the women might spread and tell,
She wasn’t afraid of the scandal,
For her heart and her soul were both well,
For she trusted God as her Father,
That His Word would prove faithful and true,
That this baby Boy that she would bear,
Would be Savior of me and you.

Luk 1:38  Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
