Why is Christ worthy to be called the Lord?
\nWith wide wonder I ponder the ways;
\nHe\u2019s the Prince of Peace and Lord of Life
\nWho with fervor goes after the strays.<\/p>\n
Why do I love the Savior so?
\nOh the ways are too numerous to count;
\nWere the whole world mine as a gift to give
\nIt would be an insufficient amount.<\/p>\n
Why do I cling to my Saviors side
\nForsaking things I once held dear?
\nIt\u2019s because I\u2019ve found Someone of infinite worth
\nThe Great Savior who saved me from fear.<\/p>\n
Why do I follow a God I can\u2019t see,
\nAnd seek to walk in His steps?
\nIt\u2019s because He\u2019s exceedingly gracious to me
\nI\u2019m a child that He loves and accepts.<\/p>\n
Why do I think the great God and King
\nWould lavish such favor on to me?
\nIt\u2019s a question I still often ask myself
\nWhy He\u2019d die to set my soul free.<\/p>\n
Why do I choose to live a life
\nThat could lead to much suffering and pain?
\nIt\u2019s because this world is not my home
\nAnd to suffer for Christ is great gain.<\/p>\n
Why do I believe that Christ the Lord
\nCan cleanse the most sin stained hearts?
\nIt\u2019s because He truly has done it for me
\nBy the mercy and grace He imparts.<\/p>\n
Why do I hope in a life without end
\nWith no death, sorrow, suffering nor pain?
\nBecause Jesus has gone to prepare a place
\nIn which peace, love and righteousness reign.<\/p>\n
