{"id":158,"date":"2016-03-27T16:06:20","date_gmt":"2016-03-27T16:06:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/allhis.org\/?p=158"},"modified":"2016-03-27T16:07:04","modified_gmt":"2016-03-27T16:07:04","slug":"the-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allhis.org\/?p=158","title":{"rendered":"The Trade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>He stepped off of His throne,<br \/>\nSo glorious above,<br \/>\nFor no other reason,<br \/>\nBut to shine forth His love.<\/p>\n<p>The angels in awe,<br \/>\nBending knee at the sight,<br \/>\nOf the King of Creation,<br \/>\nRobed in radiant light.<\/p>\n<p>But the splendor displayed,<br \/>\nOn His heavenly throne,<br \/>\nWas eclipsed by the sight,<br \/>\nOf humility shown.<\/p>\n<p>He walked the earth as a Servant,<br \/>\nHumbled Himself as a man,<br \/>\nAs angels looked on, in stunned disbelief,<br \/>\nAt the wonder of God&#8217;s ancient plan.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Drowning in thick darkness,<br \/>\nSinking deep into the mire,<br \/>\nWe were blown along, so foolishly,<br \/>\nBy selfish and sinful desire.<\/p>\n<p>Out of the darkness and tempest,<br \/>\nOut of affliction and pain,<br \/>\nAlong came the Prince of Righteousness,<br \/>\nTo redeem us from sin and from shame.<\/p>\n<p>The weight of the cross was much lighter,<br \/>\nThan the price of our sins He would pay,<br \/>\nFor redemption from, our myriad sins,<br \/>\nCould only be purchased one way.<\/p>\n<p>Why He would show such great mercy,<br \/>\nTo ones so unworthy as we,<br \/>\nWill remain the age-old question,<br \/>\nA part of God&#8217;s grand mystery.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Tinjum \u00a0 2006<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He stepped off of His throne, So glorious above, For no other reason, But to shine forth His love.
