So often the Master Artist
\nJust wants us to admit,
\nThat in the mosaic that is our life
\nWe can’t see how the pieces all fit,
\nFor the Master mixes the brightest day
\nAlong with the darkest night,
\nTo make things work for our ultimate good
\nTurning dark into marvelous light,
\nAnd the fragments of life that we think don’t fit
\nThat we want to just cast away,
\nMay be the pieces Christ uses most
\nTo set His glory on display,
\nFor those fragile pieces of heart and soul
\nThat the world tries to splinter and break,
\nTurn into diamonds in the Master’s hand
\nAnd He never makes a mistake,
\nBecause Christ can take our hands and feet
\nAlong with our heart, mind and soul,
\nAnd make vessels of clay a masterpiece,
\nIf we’ll only relinquish control.<\/p>\n
