Waves and Whispers

The heavens cannot contain Him,
Nor temples made by man’s hand,
The waves bow in silence before Him,
The wind heeds His call and command.

Trees blossom at His whisper,
Snow falls with a wave of His hand,
He names each star in the heavenly host,
And numbers the seashore sand.

Heaven Sent

She loves to go splish -splash,
In rain filled mud puddles,
Drinking hot cocoa,
And snuggles and cuddles,
With her polka dot blanket,
She is quite content,
She’s a true gift from God,
By His love heaven sent!

Jas 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Approaching the Unapproachable

Though God dwells in unapproachable light,
We can see Him clearly by faith not by sight,
When we close earthly eyes and open our hearts,
We see Jesus, His glory, and the grace He imparts.

Jer 29:13  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Ceaseless Desire / The Outpouring

Ceaseless Desire

Ceaseless worship from angelic choir,
Their tongues ablaze with holy fire,
Singing Christ’s glory they never tire,
Exalting King Jesus their burning desire.

Rev 7:11  All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

The Outpouring

The redeemed of the Lord,
Every man, woman, child,
Pouring hearts out in praise,
By His blood reconciled,
All creation joins in chorus,
Praising Jesus High King,
The curse has been broken,
Hallelujahs now ring!

Rev 19:5  Then a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!”

His Majesty

In a spider web I see Your hand,
As it bends in the wind without breaking,
In the countless number of seashore sand,
In Your air that I’m freely partaking.

I see Your majestic and beautiful mind,
In valleys and high mountain peaks,
In creating all creatures after their kind,
In the vastness of stars Your voice speaks.

I find You in eating my daily bread,
Each day teaching dependence anew,
And live by every Word You’ve said,
You’re my God who is faithful and true.

MT  2017

Psalm 145:5 NKJV
[5] I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.

Yet

So often I seek my own will and way,
Instead of God’s honor and glory,
Yet the Holy One uses even messed up me,
To play a part in His redemption love story.

1 Corinthians 3:9  NKJV
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.

Long Before

Jesus knew from eternity,

Long before time on earth began,

That to ransom His dearly loved children,

He would have to become fully Man,

Long before sin came to plague mankind,

Before Satan tempted Adam and Eve,

Jesus knew He would have to descend from His throne,

And suffer for those who believe,

So the God-Man Jesus the Servant King,

Laid His full weight of glory aside,

That man would not live forever in sin,

Nor in shame and fear cower and hide.
