Lost Found

He did not come for the righteous,
But calls sinners to repent,
For Christ came to seek and save lost,
To reclaim wayward sheep He was sent.

For we all need His grace and forgiveness,
And His power and might to defend,
Along with His tender mercies and love,
So in Christ you can trust and depend

MT 2022

Luk 19:10  for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

How

How many times does God have to say,
That He loves you with all His heart,
For He gave His one and only Son,
To give sinners a brand new start,
And what greater way could Jesus make known,
The depth of His love and His grace,
Than by His atoning sacrifice,
When He went to the cross in our place.

MT 2022

1 Ch 17:19  O LORD, for Your servant’s sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.

His Presence

Undeserved mercy,
Unbelievable grace,
Have met together,
In one holy place,

At the cross of Christ,
Where God suffered and died,
The grave is now empty,
And death is denied,

For sinners now welcomed,
To Christ’s wedding feast,
From the richest to poorest,
From the greatest to least,

At His table is joy,
And His love will not fail,
For His anthem is peace,
That will ever prevail.

MT 2022

Psa 16:11  You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Exo 33:14  And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Steadfast

In joy and sorrow,
In pleasure and pain,
In sunshine and dark night,
In blue skies and rain,
In poverty and riches,
In losses and gains,
Jesus Christ remains steadfast,
His love never wanes.

MT 2022

Joh 16:33  These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Promises

You promised to never forsake us,
You promised to stay by our side,
You promised to redeem and remake us,
You promised Your love would abide.

You promised eternal life to us,
You promised to shepherd if we roam,
You promised You would go before us,
You promised a heavenly home.

You promised we could call on You always,
You promised we can call You our friend,
You promised you would make You home with us,
You promised us life without end.

MT 2022

2Pe 1:4  by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Who Is This?

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
On a cold, crisp winter morn,
The one foretold by a prophet,
Of a virgin would be born.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
Born the King of the Jews,
Whom shepherds came to worship,
And wise men paused to muse.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
Whom Simeon worshiped with joy,
Lifting his voice up loud and clear,
To praise Mary’s baby Boy.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
The One true Savior and Lord,
Born of David’s royal line,
By heaven and earth adored.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
Who deserves all honor and glory,
The author and finisher of our faith,
The perfection of God’s love story.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
Who has come to make all things new,
The sinless, blameless Lamb of God,
The Word of God faithful and true.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
To reconcile God and man,
Conqueror of sin and death,
Fulfilling God’s master plan.

Who is this born in Bethlehem?
To usher in lasting shalom,
By crushing the serpent’s cursed head,
And leading His children home.

MT 2021

Mat 2:4  And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.  2:5  So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:  2:6  ‘BUT YOU, BETHLEHEM, IN THE LAND OF JUDAH, ARE NOT THE LEAST AMONG THE RULERS OF JUDAH; FOR OUT OF YOU SHALL COME A RULER WHO WILL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL.’ ”

Unbearable

Christ gives liberty to the captives,
Is a compass for the lost,
He is shelter from the fiercest storm,
When our lives are tempest-tossed,
For His mercy knows no boundaries,
And from heaven to earth His grace crossed,
To fulfill the glorious, ancient plan,
And to bear the unbearable cost.

MT 2021

Mat 27:46  And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?”

Luk 24:26  Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?”
