Which One?

In this beautiful, broken, sin-stained world
Good and evil both exist
And moment by moment we must all choose
Which we’ll follow and which we’ll resist
For we all have freedom God bestowed it on us
With our choices we all cast our lot
In the end Christ will say to us one of two things
Enter in…or I knew you not.

Brand New

God’s peace can conquer
The storms within,
His love can bridge
The gulf of sin,
His joy can lighten
The heaviest heart,
His grace can give us
A brand new start.

By a Child Reconciled

A meek and mild child in a manger,
Reconciled to God the enemy and stranger,
By humble beginning and in lowly birth,
God’s priceless gift came down to bless earth.

As angels announced the glorious news,
And prophesies tied together the clues,
The One to come would be Savior God King,
A foretaste of heaven- peace on earth He would bring!

The ABCs of Grace

I so often think
If I do ABC
Then God is obliged
To do XYZ
By His loving rebuke
I can now clearly see
Such thoughts are wrong
Borderline blasphemy
For Christ did it all
When He walked Calvary’s road
And gave grace as a gift
That is freely bestowed

Redemption Day

When this present world so tainted by sin,
Is gathered and swept away,
Along with this cruel world system,
Held in Satan’s venomous sway,
Then these lowly bodies will be raised to new life,
Made no longer of dust and clay,
And we’ll shine as brightly as lightning on high,
On that glorious redemption day!

Alone to Atone

Our Great God and Savior
Walked Mount Calvary alone
Knowing only His blood
Could fully atone
For mankind’s high treason
And the sins of all men
And to make a straight path
To the Father again.

Condescension

The brilliant, all knowing, universe Maker,
Condescended to make lowly me,
Then showed how much He loves and cares,
By dying for me on a tree.
