Where does God hide the wind?
On a still and windless day.
And where does the darkness take refuge?
When the sunlight chases it away.

MT 2019

Job 38:19-20 NKJV

[19] “Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place, [20] That you may take it to its territory, That you may know the paths to its home?

Life has its ups
Life has its downs
Sometimes it smiles
Sometimes it frowns
One thing is certain
God’s grace abounds
May we be found ready
When the trumpet sounds

MT 2018

NKJV Luke 12:40  Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Heaven Sent

She loves to go splish -splash,
In rain filled mud puddles,
Drinking hot cocoa,
And snuggles and cuddles,
With her polka dot blanket,
She is quite content,
She’s a true gift from God,
By His love heaven sent!

Jas 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

I Listened

I sat beside a friend of mine,
And listened to his tale of lament,
I didn’t say many profound words,
And later asked the Lord why I was sent,
He replied in return, “You did what I asked,”
“You listened and you were a friend,”
“You were an extension of me and I am pleased,”
“By the listening ear that you lend.”

Jas 1:19  NKJV
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;

Redemption Day

When this present world so tainted by sin,
Is gathered and swept away,
Along with this cruel world system,
Held in Satan’s venomous sway,
Then these lowly bodies will be raised to new life,
Made no longer of dust and clay,
And we’ll shine as brightly as lightning on high,
On that glorious redemption day!

One Day

One day wicked kings
Will no longer reign,
And terrorists no longer
Will inflict death and pain,
When the King of kings
Takes His earthly throne,
Every knee will bow
To Jesus Christ alone.

Triumphant Tragedy

I’ve bowed down before the gods of this age
More times than I care to admit,
Given in to seductive siren songs
Made my bed in hell’s deepest pit.

I’ve crashed on this world’s treacherous shore
Felt the full weight of darkness and sin,
Then in anguish cried, “Jesus please save me!”
And in mercy The Holy came in.

Now fear and despair are behind me
I’m no longer lonely and lost,
For Jesus is mine and I am His
And His praise I could never exhaust!
