Hidden
God hides for a season
The beauty of leaves
Beneath the chlorophyll,
So that He can delight
Our eyes in the fall
And give us a colorful thrill!
Colors
God paints the clouds
A bright golden hue
The earth lush and green
The sky softer blue
But His most precious color
Is the deep crimson red
That flowed from Christ’s side
His feet, hands and head.

Than lightning,
Than the sum
Of all light years,
But what He runs
Even faster to,
Is to comfort a saint’s
Anguished tears.

Condescended to make lowly me,

He calms the storms,
He stills the waves.
God entered in,
God felt pain,
His precious blood,

Almighty gentle Pneuma of God,
Fill and move in us as You please.

Standing or Stumbling
Sometimes I’m afraid of failure,
That I’ll stumble and fall on my face,
Other times I’m afraid of succeeding,
That in pride I will turn from God’s grace.

Stayed
God has promised to keep us in perfect peace,
If we keep our eyes fixed upon Him,
And to make us more than conquerors,
Over Satan, self and sin.

Given, Not Taken
Our peace cannot be taken from us,
It can only be given away,
For our peace is a person,
The Lord Jesus Christ,
Who now lives in these vessels of clay.

We are saved by grace
Through faith in Christ
We have nothing in which to boast,
Except in the blood
Of the spotless Lamb
Who saves sinners to the uttermost.
