God spoke and creation took shape and began,
He commanded and all things stood fast,
All things over and under the sun,
All things present and future and past.

Oh the thought that the Savior loves me,
Overwhelms me and fills me with joy,
God’s love, grace and peace- a continual feast!
That the world cannot steal or destroy.

God please open my eyes wider,
So that I can drink in and see,
The mysterious, wondrous beauty,
Of the Godhead Trinity.
To behold the heights of Your glory,
And the width, length, and depth of Your love,
Saving grace that’s beyond comprehension,
Tender mercies that flow from above.
The power of Christ and His kingdom,
More awesome than mind can conceive,
Father sharpen my spiritual senses,
So that when I can’t see I believe.

We all make choices
Some are good
Some are bad,
Some make us happy
Some make us sad,
Some are big ones
Some seem so small
Some we bend under
Some we stand tall,
Some are before us
Some have now past,
Some go by quickly
Some eternally last,
Some lead to riches
Some lead to fame,
Some were made for us
Some we place blame,
Some gain victory
Some cause defeat,
Some lead us forward
Some cause retreat,
But the greatest decision
You can possibly make,
Is to follow God’s Son
Who died for your sake,
His call is to all
You can freely partake,
And I pray you choose wisely
For your soul is at stake.

I am broken
Reclaimed
Restored
Renamed
Reconciled
Now a child
Washed clean
Undefiled
I’m the Lord’s
For all time
Saved by grace
Heavenward I climb!

Christ doesn’t always call us to do
What we want or what we expect,
He calls us to put to death our pride
When we want hold on and protect.
He calls us to turn the other cheek
And to go the extra mile,
Not grumbling or begrudgingly
And with no trace of malice or guile.
He calls us to love our enemies
As we would love our friends,
He preached that love is His Kingdom law
On which all else rests and depends.
So as you walk this pilgrim path
Seek peace and keep love in your heart,
And Christ will empower each move you make
But it’s up to you to start.

We need Him at our best,
We need Him at our worst,
We need Him whether high or low,
Whether we are last or first,
We need Him on the mountaintops,
And in the Valley of the Shadow of Death,
We need Him for every beat of our heart,
And when we draw our final breath.
