The creatures He breathed life into,
Caused His breath to be taken away,
Laying down His life He made one out of two,
Wayward Israel and gentiles astray.

Amazingly, wonderfully beautiful,
Gracious beyond all belief,
Gentle, loving Lamb of God,
With His dying breath pardoned a thief.

Last year they almost missed the cut,
Dismissed as Premier League court jester,
But look up now at who is on top,
The swift running Foxes of Leicester!

One minute men may love you,
The next they may cast a stone,
One minute you may be toast of the town,
The next you may stand all alone,
One minute you may have world in your hand,
The next one nothing to hold,
One minute you may be a free man,
The next one your life may be sold,
One minute you may feel invincible,
The next one defeated and lost,
One minute you may be safe and secure,
The next may be tempest tossed,
One minute you may be the picture of health
The next you may draw your last breath,
So in the next minute I earnestly pray,
Call on Christ who saves sinners from death.

When once God and man were at enmity
Divinity has now kissed humanity
God in man such a wonderful mystery
Man embraced by the love of the Trinity
Bondage broken we’re freed from captivity
Taken back from the hand of the enemy
Christ the King has won complete victory!

Before speaking the world into being
God had a bold master plan,
To purge the world of the venom of sin
That reigned through rebellion of man,
Do I truly think that I can fool
The almighty, omniscient God,
Who knows what’s in my heart and soul
And sees through my flimsy facade?
Do I truly think the fig leaves I sew
Stitched together by threads of my pride,
Can mask my fears and anxieties
From the One from whom darkness can’t hide?
For I can’t run or hide from my Maker
He knows every thought, word and deed,
And it’s only by placing my life in His hands
That my heart, soul and mind can be freed.
