Words

Words full of power
Words full of might,
Words piercing darkness
Words casting light,
Words softly whispered
Words strong and bold,
Words of the prophets
Messiah foretold,
Words bringing fire
Words bringing rain,
Words healing wounds
Words easing pain,
Words bringing hope
Words loud and clear,
Words of God’s kingdom
Present and near,
Words of King Jesus
That abide evermore,
The Word holds the key
To unlock heaven’s door.

MT 2019

Mat 24:35  NKJV
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Lending a Hand

A dollar clutched tightly
Never fed the poor,
And a key withheld
Never opened a door,
So will we pass by
Our fellow man ignore,
Or lend a hand
And their dignity restore.

MT 2019

Gal 2:10  NKJV
They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.

Sufficient

Your grace is sufficient,
Is ever enough,
When the path is dark,
And the road gets rough,
Your grace is a beacon,
Of radiant light,
In our gloomiest hour
And our darkest night.

MT 2019

John 1:16  And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Sufficient

Your grace is sufficient,
Is ever enough,
When the path is dark,
And the road gets rough,
Your grace is a beacon,
Of radiant light,
In our gloomiest hour,
And our darkest night.

MT 2019

Joh 1:16  And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Stray

I once watched in deep despair,
As my dreams were all swept away,
And I thought I would never again,
See another sunny day,

But then I met Jesus the Savior,
And He promised to lead the way,
Oh thank You Good Shepherd Jesus!
For seeking this once lonely stray.

MT 2019

Luke 15:4 NKJV

[4] “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?

To The Weary

The Maker of the heavens, the moon, the stars,
Sees your tears, your fears, your scars,
And traveled from His heavenly kingdom afar,
To break your chains and prison bars.

Your troubles, trials and tribulation,
Headache, heartache, pain and frustration,
Christ can turn into hope, joy and jubilation,
If we surrender to his offer of sweet salvation.

So come all you weary, down-trodden and oppressed,
He will shower you with love, joy, peace and rest
For Christ made your heart and He knows it best,
Just call His name and be eternally blessed!

MT 2019

Matthew 11:28 NKJV [28]
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Faith Well Placed

Don’t put your faith
Don’t place your trust,
In a son of Adam
Whose end is dust,
Or in earthly treasures
That corrode and rust,
Nor this broken world
With it’s lies and lust.

But put your hope
In Christ the King,
Who left His throne
To feel deaths sting,
And rose the third day
New life to bring,
And now reigns on high
Rejoice and sing!

MT 2019

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 NKJV

[3] For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, [4] and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
