Glorious Restart

In my best state my life is a vapor,
Fragile like paper thin glass,
In my best state I’ll fade like a flower,
When the last breeze of life makes it’s pass,
But when this corruptible body,
Has felt the last beat of it’s heart,
My new body created in the likeness of Christ.
Will have a glorious, eternal restart!

What if the diverse beauty we see,
Did not happen by random chance?
And the stars in this vast, grand universe,
Are a beautifully choreographed dance?

What if a Creator truly exists,
Who made you and knows your life story?
And died in the place of the human race,
And rose again to reveal His glory?

What if He offers an eternal choice,
That determines where you’ll live forever?
A place of unspeakable love and shalom,
Which nothing can lessen or sever.

The wisdom and power of the Godhead,
God’s fullness in Christ the grand plan,
The Father sending His beloved Son,
So that Christ might redeem sinful man.

God knew the dark and painful cost,
The Holy One would have to bear,
Of piercing nails and scourging whip,
And the crown of thorns He would wear.

But His wounds were badges of honor,
For Christ bore them for you and me,
To show the depths His love would go,
To make us His for eternity.

In Creation, God's Glory

I’m a billion year old speck of dust,
In random selection I place my trust,
Struck by lightning I’m now animated,
From the ground which I came I’m now liberated.

Out of the void and darkness and muck,
By random chance, by sheer dumb luck,
I now have life by a freak accident,
By Mother Nature not God I’ve been sent.

I dreamed of becoming a fish or a bird,
To say God made me is truly absurd,
I became whatever I wanted to be,
I am the captain and god of my own destiny.

But some fools think there’s a creative mind,
Behind life and creation and all mankind,
Whom they praise and worship and give the glory,
But this God has no place in my creation story.

The Great God who spread out Montana’s big sky,
Waters the plains when they’re thirsty and dry,
He taught wild horses to gallop and prance,
And makes prairie grasses break out in dance.

A sweet song of praise
Lifting it’s voice

The heavens above
God’s glory displays
From the myriad stars
