If we tried to behold with earthly eyes
The surpassing greatness of Christ,
By His brilliance and brightness we’d be undone
So for now a veiled glimpse must suffice,
For His glory and power are beyond us
And our finite minds can’t comprehend,
So let’s just be content to draw nearer each day
To the God who has called us His friend.
